Since March 2020, we've live-streamed Holy Mass nearly every day thanks to a dedicated group of volunteers. Many of them have needed to step away and we're in need of more help, especially on weekdays for the 8:30am Mass (ends by 9:00am) and for funerals that request live-streaming. You do not need to be a "computer wiz." It's a suprisingly simple system to run and we will offer plenty of training until you're comfortable. Consider joining this important ministry that connects us with thousands of people seeking Christ each year.
Do you have a green thumb? Our entire campus is taken care of through the generous support of volunteer gardeners. The parish takes care of basic landscapping like cutting grass, but we rely on volunteers for the rest. A group of volunteers have taken responsibility for certain sections of our campus, but there is plenty room to divide and conquor. If you're interested in helping us keep our campus looking beautiful and welcoming, we'd love to have you join this important minitry.
We're in need of committed and dedicated volunteers to help us offer consistent hospitality on Sunday mornings after Holy Mass. We'd love to have Unity Hall open and available for people to have coffee and treats every Sunday, where we currently offer this on the first and third Sundays of each month. Please consider joining this important ministry that helps parishioners connect with each other and build on our allready strong community. Expectations would be setting up Unity Hall for your scheduled time, making coffee, setting out food, cleaning up, and keeping necessary items stocked for people to use (cups, napkins, plates, etc.).
This is an extremely important ministry that helps everyone feel welcome in our church. We're in need of volunteers to greet and welcome people to Holy Mass on Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings (also on Holy Days of Obligation). Sunday Greeters are expected to be at church 20 minutes before the start of Holy Mass to welcome people, help parishioners and visitors find a seat if necessary, take up the collection in the middle of Holy Mass, pass out bulletins as people leave after Mass, and make sure the church is tidy for the next scheduled Mass/event. We don't need more volunteers at the 9:30am Mass, but the others need help. Please consider joining this necessary ministry.
Losing a loved one is a very difficult reality of life, but our faith in the resurrection gives us hope we will see them again in the Kingdom of Heaven. Our parish Bereavement Ministry is a group of volunteers who accompany families at their time of loss and assist in planning their funeral Mass. Bereavement ministers meet with the immediate family to help them pick readings, music, and other details for the Funeral Mass. If there's a wake, bereavement ministers attend and offer to lead prayers. Bereavement ministers are also present the day of the Funeral Mass to assist the priest. There's a role for everyone from behind the scenes to being very active with the family. If you feel called to this life-giving ministry, please sign up with the form on this page.
