Family Faith Formation CatechistCatechists teach parents how to homeschool the faith. This is adults teaching other adults. The goal of our Family Faith Formation program is to help parents feel confident and comfortable in their role as their children’s primary catechist. Our team of catechists rotate through, so you only teach about one or two times a year. We also look to our catechists to assist in other faith formation programs as their schedule allows.

Youth Group Core Team MemberOur high school youth group meets every Sunday evening from 7:00-8:30pm and while we have a lot of fun, we also teach the faith! If you are interested in helping high school teens grow in their faith, by all means come and help us out! Sign up with the form on this page to the left.
*All adult (age 18+) catechists for children must be in compliance with the Archdiocese of Chicago policies for Protecting God's Children (AKA: Virtus). These trainings are free and completed online. We will share more info after you've informed us you would like to serve.

Children's Liturgy of the Word CatechistEvery Sunday we have an adult catechist lead a brief Liturgy of the Word for children during the 9:30am Mass. Kids are excused at the beginning of Holy Mass and return in time for the Eucharistic Prayer. We are always in need of adult catechists to lead these sessions every Sunday. Baptism Preparation Catechist
Once a month on Tuesdays we offer a Baptism Preperation workshop for parents before the baptism of their child (and for most it's their first child). We're always looking for parents who take their faith seriously to help us lead these workshops and help new parents build the Domestic Church in their own home. FYI - other catechists often volunteer for child care so you and your spouse can teach together. -
Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) Catechist
Wheather you're a convert or a cradle Catholic, we need serious disciples of Jesus to accompany other adults on the journey of faith and becoming Catholic. RCIA is for any adult looking to enter the Body of Christ through Baptism, reception into the Church, or complete their Sacraments of Initiation. RCIA typically runs September-May depending on the date of Easter Sunday. If you're interested in accompanying people on their faith jounrey, sign up with the form on this page.
