In the face of the ongoing influx of migrants into Chicago, the generosity of the St. Edward parish community has been both beautiful and inspiring. God's love for all His sons and daughters continues to radiate from the Eucharist, through our parishioners, and out into our Mayfair community. Read all about it here in Our Sunday Visitor.
Want to help? Keep checking this page and stay tuned! Volunteers of ALL AGES are welcome.
Coat/Blanket/Footwear Drive: We plan on collecting coats, blankets, and closed-toed shoes on Wednesday, October 11. This event will likely be held in the St. Edward parking lot. Please do not bring these items to the Rectory before the event date as there is currently nowhere to store them. We will need volunteers as well as donors. More info coming soon!

Shower & Food Events: St. Edward parishioners have spearheaded a Migrant Outreach Program that welcomes migrants into our Convent for a shower and some food. Our first such event took place on Thursday, September 21, and was a huge success. Thank you to all who participated in any way! We hope to once again make our Convent available for a safe place to shower on Wednesday, October 4. Assistance is greatly appreciated in this noble endeavor to live out the Corporal Works of Mercy.
If you have any time to spare for nieghbors in need, meet us at the Convent between the hours of 5:30 and 9:00pm.
