We love families at St. Edward, and celebrate the gift of life!
At the very beginning of the 9:30am Mass each Sunday, the celebrating priest invites all children to hear the Liturgy of the Word as presented by a catechist. Anyone who is potty-trained but has not yet received his/her First Holy Communion can head downstairs to Unity Hall and join his/her fellow little parishioners in learning about Christ's boundless love through the day's Gospel. Younger, non-potty-trained children are of course welcome to participate as well, as long as a parent is with them. Readings are discussed with the children in an age-appropriate manner so that they may better understand the Word.
For more information on this program, or to volunteer to join the Team of Catechists, please contact Paul Minarik at [email protected].
Every Tuesday, from 9:30-11:30am, we welcome all of our youngest parishioners, along with their parents, grandparents, and caregivers to Unity Hall for open play. Join if you can, and spread the word that we're here and open for fun every Tuesday morning!
