What is RCIA?
RCIA stands for “Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults” and is the official process by which adults sacramentally enter the Catholic Church. There are a variety of rites that those adults undergo in their journey to being received into the Church at the Easter Vigil Mass. Our Making Disciples program includes all the necessary information for those taking part in RCIA. These are not two programs; rather, they are one program with two groups, those entering the Church and those who are already Catholic but want to learn more about the Church.Testimonials from past St. Edward RCIA participants:
“My experience with the RCIA program at St.Edward was wonderful. I must admit I was a bit nervous starting this program as I never really went to church, but I felt very welcomed. The class went at a beginners pace and I felt like for the very first time I can become a true Catholic. Thank you St.Edwards Church.”
