Our Hospitality Committee coordinates our monthly Hospitality Sunday on the third Sunday of each month. This committee is also instrumental in helping to plan and prepare food for various parish events and fundraisers.

Ministry of Consolation
This ministry reaches out to families who have lost loved one and assists in them with planning the funeral liturgies. Members of this ministry meet with family members, attend vigil services, as well as greet people and serve at funeral Masses.

St. Vincent DePaul Society
The St. Vincent DePaul Society is a world wide organization of lay volunteers and clergy who minister to the poor. St. Vincent DePaul assists many people who come to St. Ed’s looking for food and financial assistance. For more information, contact Joe Panico at the Parish Office.
St. Edward Pro-Life ministry works to support all people from conception to natural death. Our Pro-Life ministry hosts a monthly food drive that supports St. Thomas of Canterbury Food Pantry, collects money once a month for the Women’s Center, and coordinates the 40 Days for Life events with the Archdiocese of Chicago Office for Human Dignity and Concerns. Salt & Light
This ministry is designed to bring together parishioners four times a year for large service projects. In the past we have painted the halls at the Well of Mercy, given out food at the Mission of Our Lady of the Angels mobile food pantry, and sponsored a parish clean up day at St. Ed’s. Ministers of Care
This group of volunteer ministers visit parishioners who are sick and home-bound and bring them the Eucharist. Training is required for this important and much needed ministry. Contact Barbara Sapp at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Human Concerns Commission
St. Edward Human Concerns Commission organizes our Lenten Operation Rice Bowl collection, writes notes of condolences to families who recently lost a loved one, and puts together our annual Mass commemorating all the faithful departed. For more information, call the rectory at 773-545-6496.
